The story takes place in 2029, by which time the X-Men have long since disbanded. As one of the few remaining mutants, Wolverine Logan (Hugh Jackman) and Caliban (Stephen Merchant) are taking care of the elderly Professor X (Patrick Stewart). Due to aging, Professor X has lost control over his powers; without medication, his abilities can spiral out of control, causing irreversible disasters worldwide. Additionally, Wolverine's healing abilities have also diminished over time, and his physical strength is far from what it used to be. One day, a mysterious woman approaches Wolverine and entrusts him with a girl named Laura (Dafne Keen), asking him to take Laura to a place called "Eden" located at the Canadian border. What Logan didn't expect was that Laura was a genetically engineered mutant created from his own DNA, and in the so-called Eden, there are a group of children in similar circumstances to Laura's.
