The old prostitute Jin Ru (played by Sandra Ng) encounters a thief (played by Eric Tsang) robbing a self-service bank, but unexpectedly, a power outage occurs, and they both get locked inside. Jin begins to tell the thief her story of growing up with Hong Kong. She started working as a "fish ball girl" at 16, earning thousands a month. After coming of age, she officially became a nightclub dancer, but due to her lack of outstanding looks, she could only play the role of a clown in nightclubs.
