Luca Florio (played by Kim Rossi Stuart) grew up in Africa. His father was often away on business, leaving him and his mother in loneliness. One day, his mother was killed under a car, and witnessing this tragedy left a shadow in Luca's heart. As an adult, Luca returned to Italy and became a renowned jazz pianist. His jazz music, infused with African elements, made him very popular and gained international fame. However, the glory he experienced in public could not heal the pain he suffered in private. Luca could never open his heart to anyone and maintained a cold and distant relationship with the world, leading his emotions into a vicious cycle. As he aged, his guilt over his mother gradually filled his life. Much pain was buried in his music, but ultimately, even music could not bear it all. At the age of 38, after recording his final solo piece, "How Far Can You Fly," he chose to end his life by hanging… This film is based on the biography of Luca Flores, the "Italian jazz piano poet."
