The speed king of Taitung, Lin Gang (played by Andy Lau), gets into a conflict with the local gang during a street racing competition, killing a key gang member and fleeing to Hong Kong, where he seeks refuge with local gang leader, Brother Ding. Brother Ding arranges for Lin Gang to stay at the home of his subordinate Jiao Gui's mistress, A Sue (played by Lyu Xiuling), and Lin Gang works with Jiao Gui to handle the gang's business dealings. During a transaction with the Hunan Daquanzai gang, Jiao Gui embezzles a gold watch, and Lin Gang, unaware of this, helps Jiao Gui fend off the Daquanzai gang, leading Daquanzai (played by Wang Xiao) to mistakenly believe that Lin Gang is the one who stole the gold watch. The Daquanzai gang starts searching for Lin Gang for revenge, and A Sue also gets caught up in the situation. Meanwhile, the police pressure Lin Gang to become an informant. In desperation, Lin Gang and A Sue escape back to the mainland to avoid the heat, but they cannot escape the pursuit of the Daquanzai gang. What will be Lin Gang's ultimate fate?
