Kristen Stewart will star in the political thriller "Against All Enemies," playing American actress and French New Wave icon Jan Sibart. Jack O'Connell, Anthony Mackie, Margaret Qualley, and Colm Meaney co-star, directed by Benedict Andrews ("Una").
The film tells the story of the late 1960s, where Sibart, sympathetic to and supportive of the Black Panther Party, has connections with its members and a romantic involvement with civil rights activist Hakim Jamal (played by Mackie). She attracts the attention of the FBI, and a young agent (played by O'Connell) investigates her.
Produced by Automatik Entertainment, with Fred Berger ("La La Land," "The Mountain Between Us"), Brian Kavanaugh-Jones ("Insidious: The Last Key," "Midnight Run"), Kate Garwood, and Stephen Hopkins as producers, the script is written by Joe Shrapnel & Anna Waterhouse ("Frankie & Alice") and shooting begins this summer.
