Novelist Yoon Hee (Cho An) is struggling to find fresh material and is facing a creative crisis. After hearing about the legend of "muoi" from her old friend Seo Young (Cha Yi-lin), who is currently living in Vietnam, Yoon Hee decides to base her new novel on this legend. However, she feels anxious before going to Vietnam because her previous novel indirectly referenced Seo Young and contained many inaccuracies. Seo Young's transformation and enthusiasm surprise Yoon Hee, but the awkwardness during their conversations does not affect her passion for "muoi." However, as she becomes more invested in gathering related work, various incredible and strange incidents begin to occur. Yoon Hee gradually feels that the Seo Young in front of her has become possessed by the "Vietnamese girl in abstract painting."
