The inconspicuous security guard, Kostadin (played by Janne Hyytiäinen), is a member of the lower social strata. His life and career are filled with a sense of failure; any struggles he once faced seem futile, as endless loneliness and inferiority have completely enveloped him. It appears he has been forgotten by the world for far too long. Then, unexpectedly, the beautiful Mirja (played by Maria Järvenhelmi) enters his life, and with her favor, Kostadin's life seems to shine again. Unfortunately, Mirja's interest in Kostadin is merely part of a jewelry store robbery plot. Poor Kostadin not only silently endures emotional betrayal but also ends up in prison because of it. Even after being bailed out, when everything seems to have a chance for reconstruction, misfortune refuses to leave this small figure, striking him down once more. Desperate, Kostadin can only hope for a glimmer of light in his life.
