The story takes place during the outbreak of SARS. Lin Weihua (played by Yang Gongru), as a nurse, withstands immense pressure and fights on the front lines with remarkable courage and willpower. In stark contrast, Chen Junhao (played by Tan Yaowen), a doctor, thinks about fleeing when the outbreak first occurs, despite wearing a white coat. Gradually, Chen Junhao is moved by Lin Weihua's actions and, feeling ashamed, decides to take on his own responsibilities. 蓝雄 (played by Zeng Zhiwei) is a wealthy upstart, but his sister falls in love with a low-profile pharmacy owner (played by Qian Jiale).
