As night falls, veteran detective Zhong Wen (played by Jackie Chan) receives a call from his daughter Miao Miao (played by Jing Tian), who has run away from home for a long time. He is secretly delighted and arrives just in time for the 3rd anniversary celebration at the Wu Bar. The bar owner, Wu Jiang (played by Liu Ye), welcomes him warmly, but the bizarre and smoky atmosphere in the bar makes Zhong Wen uncomfortable. Soon after, Miao Miao arrives, sporting tattoos and dyed hair, and showing a rebellious attitude.
