A year ago, Sergeant Joseph Smith (played by Jason Statham) experienced unimaginable bloodshed as a member of a special forces unit on the battlefield in Afghanistan. Due to an incident, he was charged by a military court and diagnosed with acute stress disorder. Joseph then escaped from the hospital and struggled to survive among the homeless. He adopted the name Joy and teamed up with a girl named Isabel (played by Victoria Bewick). After being attacked by criminals, a panicked Joy accidentally stumbled into an unoccupied room, where the owner was away on business in the U.S. He felt free to use everything belonging to the owner. Tormented by psychological issues, it seemed he could only receive some help from a kind nun named Christina (played by Agata Buzek). One day, Joy got involved in the Chinese underworld, earning a living on the edge of danger, and unexpectedly heard news about Isabel...
