Milo Gibson, son of Mel Gibson, makes a return to the screen after his debut performance in "Hacksaw Ridge," joining the WWII-themed film "Hurricane" as pilot Johnny Kent. Kent is a Canadian Air Force captain who leads a Hawker Hurricane squadron numbered 303 during the Battle of Britain (a large-scale air battle waged by Nazi Germany against the UK during World War II, and the largest air battle of the war), fighting to resist the Nazi invasion. He personally shot down 13 enemy aircraft and served in the Royal Air Force from 1935 to 1956, being regarded as one of the most outstanding young squadron leaders in the RAF. David Blair ("Burt and Dickie," "The Perfect Plan") will direct the film, with Stephanie Martini and "Game of Thrones" star Iwan Rheon expected to produce, planning to start shooting in the UK in September.
