The story takes place at Shiau Beach in a fishing port, where many stones resembling women, known as Lover's Stones, are believed to be transformed from young girls yearning for their lovers' return. Lin Jinshui's daughter Qiuzhi (played by Zheng Peipei) has always been childhood friends with Su Dagui (played by Gong Jianong), and as they grew up, a deep affection developed between them. However, university student Qin Yu encounters Qiuzhi by chance in the fishing port and secretly falls in love with her, ultimately deciding to stay in this fishing village. At the same time, another girl from the fishing port, Zeng Afeng (played by Wen Ling), falls in love with Dagui. This leads to a complicated emotional relationship and entanglement among the four of them. After experiencing various setbacks, Dagui and Afeng, as well as Qin Yu and Qiuzhi, eventually come together, forming two couples. However, the plot takes a sudden twist when Dagui and Qin Yu go out to sea together and do not return.
