Traditionally, martial artists adhere to the principle of "respecting teachers and valuing the way," but not every matter in the martial world is black and white. Gao Jian (Jiang Lin) is a junior disciple of a prestigious martial arts family, known for his straightforward nature and often bullied by his senior brothers, while his master, Shi Zhengzhong, has little affection for him. One day, Gao witnesses an injustice and saves the wounded fugitive martial artist Jin Tianyun (Chen Guantai), hiding Jin in his cluttered storage room; in return for Gao’s noble act, Jin, who is also severely injured and has little time left, unreservedly imparts his martial arts skills to Gao. Unbeknownst to Gao, Jin is actually the enemy of his master, and during training, Gao inadvertently reveals extraordinary skills; when his master learns the truth, he charges Gao with the crime of "betraying the sect." Ironically, the one seeking revenge for the sect turns out to be this "traitor."
