Kouzan (voiced by Ayaka Suwa) is an ordinary second-year middle school girl who has lived apart from her parents since childhood, relying solely on her grandparents. This has led her to deeply desire familial affection and a seemingly unchanging but actually fulfilling life filled with small moments of happiness. Yuma Kusanagi (voiced by Naomi Ozora) is Kouzan's friend and also a priestess candidate with a heavy burden of responsibility, as she possesses the blood of a shrine maiden. One day, while on their way to the shrine, they encounter a series of unexpected events, and a strange man becomes a disturbing factor threatening the tranquility of their town. To subdue the crazed man, Yuma performs the "Kamisama Ceremony," but what no one anticipated was that the person possessed by a deity and endowed with the ability to exorcise demons would be Kouzan.
