She (played by Lee Lai) is a beautiful and ordinary little girl living with her parents in a home located at the street corner. The family runs a grocery store named after her, Soo-yun, where her mother (played by Yim Ji-won), as the owner, is busy day and night, while her father works hard in a factory. On a rainy morning, Soo-yun, holding an umbrella, goes to school alone. Near the school, she encounters a sleazy uncle who reeks of alcohol, thus beginning her tragic journey. The tender little flower is ruthlessly battered by the storm, and it is not just the branches and leaves that are hurt, but also the carefree heart that grows towards the sun. The unscrupulous media sensationalizes the story, and Soo-yun's family, as victims, seems to become shameful beings surrounded by curious and astonished gazes.
Mom is heartbroken and nearly collapses. Dad does his best to protect his daughter, but the injured little angel refuses her father’s approach. Will the path to uncovering the truth be accompanied by the angel's healing journey, and will the beautiful girl ever smile brightly again?
