This series has a tone similar to HBO's "Succession." The story spans New York and London, focusing on a British Black family, their ambitions, and their reactions to misfortune. Stephen Richards, a self-made entrepreneur, builds a beauty empire and manages to get what he wants, even viewing the abandonment of his first wife and two children, Nina and Simon, as a positive.
