In the future world, to win the interstellar war, the government strictly selects a group of newborns and trains them in killing from a young age. These individuals have no families or emotions; all they see is slaughter, and they are called Soldiers. Ted (played by Kurt Russell) is one of the best among them, having survived several interstellar battles. This time, the government employs new genetic technology to modify babies with war genes while still in the womb, creating a batch of improved Soldiers. To test the results, Ted and two partners are chosen to compete against the new Soldier, Kane (played by Jason Scott Lee). As a result, the two partners are killed, and Ted is mistakenly thought to be dead after falling into a coma, escaping a fate worse than death. He and the bodies of his two partners are thrown onto a garbage planet. There, Ted meets abandoned civilians, and his numb heart breeds friendship and love. Just as he prepares to live happily with the woman he loves, the government turns this place into a training ground for the new Soldiers. The task of the new Soldiers is to kill all living creatures. For the sake of his beloved and his partners, Ted resolutely goes to battle!
