Fan Zhi Hong (played by Andy Lau) was once a shrewd and capable police officer, now living a relaxed life in retirement. One day, he hears that his former boss, Bai Lang's son, Paul, has been kidnapped and is in imminent danger. He teams up with Bai Lang's adopted son, Xiao Jie (played by Andy Lau), to rescue him and ultimately succeeds in saving Paul.
