John (Val Kilmer) is an engineer who is about to head to distant Africa to undertake the challenging task of building a bridge. Upon arriving in Africa, John discovers that, aside from the terrible climate, there are even more dangerous and terrifying things. The frequent appearance of man-eating lions has left the entire construction team uneasy about working. To ensure the project proceeds on schedule, the brave John shoots the lion, but this brings even greater trouble. In the local area, two lions known as "Night" and "Ghost" have a fearsome reputation; they are massive, ruthless, cunning, and unpredictable, having been responsible for nearly 40 deaths. Now they have set their sights on John.
