Near Qishan, there is a city known as Fufeng, once referred to as the "City of Eternal Night." Long ago, this city was illuminated with lanterns, and the night was as bright as day. However, it is now shrouded in darkness, with legends of "killing by lighting lamps" circulating. The protagonist, Wen Ning, arrives in Fufeng and immediately notices many unusual things. The entire city is filled with the old, weak, ill, and disabled, presenting a scene of desolation and ruin. As night falls, Wen Ning deliberately lights lamps, attracting ghostly apparitions. Just as he is about to capture one, a blue sword light strikes, allowing the shadow to escape. Wen Ning looks up to see a familiar figure rushing in from outside—the old acquaintance, Lan Sizhui, a member of the Lan clan. Together, Wen Ning and Lan Sizhui join forces, and through relentless effort, the duo ultimately unravels the mystery, capturing the mastermind behind it all and restoring peace to the people.
