Jewish-American woman Maria (played by Helen Mirren) seeks the help of young lawyer Randy (played by Ryan Reynolds) to reclaim her family heirloom—the painting "Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer I," which was stolen by the Nazis during World War II.
