In the desolate wilderness, a group of brutal robbers is whipping a beautiful girl, Maria (played by Loredana Cappelletti). Fortunately, she is rescued by Django (played by Franco Nero). He is mysterious and stern, walking through the muddy wasteland dragging a coffin. Django takes Maria to a bleak little town, where the people are curious about his arrival and anxious about the secrets hidden in the coffin. This film, as a classic violent work of Italian Westerns, has been banned in many countries around the world. In 2012, the brilliant director Quentin Tarantino paid homage to this film with "Django Unchained."
