In 1944, as World War II initiated by the Nazis was nearing its end, the Nazis gathered Army Group A in the Balkans and attempted to block the advance of the Soviet Red Army to the south in order to end the war with dignity. At the same time, the Nazis introduced the "Laufeld Plan," aiming to plunder Sarajevo's rich oil resources to supply armored units. To execute the Laufeld Plan, Nazi Colonel Fenditeris was sent to Sarajevo to eliminate the local guerrillas led by Walter (played by Velimir 'Bata' Zivojinovic). Fenditeris instructed a spy to impersonate Walter, and with the aid of a traitor, the fake Walter formed a resistance committee with several real guerrilla fighters, obtaining the names of guerrilla members and leading to the assassination of numerous resistance members. The real Walter, unable to reveal his identity due to combat necessities, relied on his outstanding strategy and the bravery of many guerrilla fighters to ultimately expose the spy. To thwart the Laufeld Plan, the guerrilla fighters, having eliminated the traitor, launched another attack.
