In the coastal ancient city of Kamakura, a small town nestled in the hills, the four sisters of the Koda family lead their lives in an unassuming corner. Their father left home early on with his lover, while their mother simply abandoned her daughters to be raised by their grandmother. After their grandmother's passing, the granddaughters inherited this large house with a long history. The eldest sister, Koda Sachi (played by Haruka Ayase), takes on the responsibilities of the household and cares for her two younger sisters, Yano (Masami Nagasawa) and Chika (Saho Nishikawa), ensuring they grow up healthily. One day, the news of their father's death reaches the sisters. They attend his funeral together and meet their half-sister, Asano Suzu (Suzu Hirose), whom they have never met before. Perhaps due to a sense of kinship through blood, Sachi invites Suzu to come live with them in Kamakura before she leaves. Not long after, with dreams of her sisters in mind, Suzu steps into the house where her father once lived. As the seasons change, the sisters' story quietly unfolds… This film is adapted from the manga of the same name by Akimi Yoshida.
