During World War II, a British plane on a bombing mission was hit by the German military, forcing several British soldiers to parachute to safety. They agreed to meet in a Turkish bath and used the operation's codename "Mandarin Tea" as their secret signal. They landed in different locations in the German-occupied area of Paris. Major Regginard was rescued by a zoo keeper, while the other two soldiers were hidden with the help of a painter named Auguste (Bourvil) and a band conductor named Stanislas (Louis De Funès). Even though the Germans launched a city-wide search, the painter, the conductor, and the major successfully met in the bathhouse. After a series of twists and turns, the British soldiers finally regrouped. People who originally did not know each other formed a life-and-death alliance, engaging in a dangerous game of wits with the enemy while also creating many heartwarming and humorous moments. They fought together to escape from the jaws of danger, using their limited strength against the harsh German forces, with risks and comedic situations along the way.
