This work tells the legendary life of Japanese People's Liberation Army soldier Sugawara Kei, showcasing the true history of the rarely known special group of Japanese People's Liberation Army. Sugawara Kei was born in 1933 in Kyushu, Japan, and followed his parents to Northeast China during childhood. After Japan's defeat and surrender, he was unable to return to Japan and ended up tending cattle at a landlord's house in Liaoning. In 1948, Sugawara Kei joined the People's Liberation Army under the name "Zhang Rongqing" and participated in the Liaoshen and Pingjin campaigns, dedicating himself to the proletarian revolutionary cause.
