This drama is adapted from the popular manga "Detective Kyoushin" by renowned manga artist Hideo Iura, which is serialized in Shogakukan’s "Big Comic Original" [bi-monthly for young adults]. Tadanobu Asano plays the detective Kyoushin, who possesses unique reasoning and observational skills, free from any preconceived notions. He keenly perceives the dark side of human nature and is willing to resort to illegal means in pursuit of the truth. Ryunosuke Kamiki portrays the new, diligent, and highly principled detective Toru Ubu, who has strong justice values. In the drama, Ubu constantly finds himself being ordered around by Kyoushin, as the two contrasting partners work together to solve various difficult cases.
