For years, the staff have relied on her completely, with all decisions, big and small, made by Riko. Unconsciously, the staff have grown accustomed to this routine work that doesn't require them to showcase their individuality, until one day a new employee changes the atmosphere at the Kichijoji branch. The newcomer, Aki Kitamura (played by Mayu Watanabe), is a wealthy second-generation heir with no worries about food. She has an unparalleled love for books, and due to her status and personality, she brings many of her own ideas into her work, leading to a clash with Riko. After a series of events, they seem to begin to understand each other's true intentions, but the life and struggle of the bookstore girls has just begun... This film is adapted from the original work by Kei Binya.
