Set in Washington Heights, New York, the story follows grocery store owner Usnavi, who, after inheriting his grandmother's property, plans to close his shop and retire to his hometown in the Dominican Republic. He feels a mix of emotions, but the allure of the Latino community and its residents makes him pause and reflect.
