With the Spring Festival approaching, the village plans to hold a gala to bring the villagers together to celebrate the arrival of the new year. The talented individuals who have been working outside the small mountain village heard about the lively village evening being organized and returned home with the hope of family reunion. The writer Geng Zhi (played by Tong Dawei), who has been cheated out of his money, is mistakenly believed by the villagers to have won a literary award and is invited back to handle the script planning for the village evening. The misunderstanding about the award grows, but facing his father’s hopes for a successful future, Geng Zhi finds it difficult to clear things up. The construction contractor De Fa (played by Aaron Kwok) encounters his ex-wife Shu Fen (played by Xu Jinglei), who divorced him due to his gambling addiction. After trying various ways to save their marriage, they return to the village together to take charge of the dance program for the Spring Festival gala. Chun Shu (played by Wang Baoqiang), who dreams of becoming a chef in the city, unexpectedly meets Chef Zhou and his daughter in a hotel. His honest and straightforward character wins the favor of the beautiful Zhou Yinan (played by Wang Luodan), and after undergoing a series of tests by Chef Zhou, he successfully brings Yinan back to the village to take care of the evening banquet for the village gala.
