The film recreates the infamous "Roswell Incident" scandal in the form of a "mockumentary." In 1995, a black-and-white documentary claiming to show U.S. military scientists dissecting an alien body after a UFO crash in Roswell, New Mexico, on July 4, 1947, was proven to be a hoax, causing a huge stir among the public. The young filmmakers Ray Santilli (played by Declan Donnelly) and Gary Shoefield (played by Anthony McPartlin) orchestrated this elaborate deception. However, they still insist that they did have the original footage, but due to some damage, they had to resort to creating a fake version.
