After ending a broken marriage, the beautiful yet melancholic woman Mary (played by Rachelle Lefevre) moves into an old apartment with over fifty years of history. Not long after moving in, she receives a strange phone call. The caller is a woman named Rose (played by Lorna Raver), who is looking for her man. At first, Mary doesn't pay much attention, but Rose keeps calling, which becomes increasingly bothersome. By chance, she discovers that this might be a phone call that has transcended time. On the other end of the line, Rose is an unfortunate woman living in the late 1970s. The two women have a brief but deep exchange, only for Mary to inadvertently make a joke that leads Rose to kill her husband. Following this, the nearly distraught Rose fixates on Mary, who is also on the verge of a breakdown, made worse by the harassment from her ex-husband Steven (played by Ed Quinn). Everything heads toward an unpredictable direction...
