Revel is a doctor whose wife was murdered. At her funeral, he meets the officer in charge of the case and presses him on when the case will be solved. However, the murder investigation eventually turns into a cold case with no leads and no suspects, and no one cares anymore. Revel misses his wife and wants to understand the cause of her death. During an autopsy, he discovers a key hidden on the body of the deceased, a man named Jonathan, who reportedly died by suicide. Using the key, Revel follows a trail that uncovers many secrets and clues related to his wife's murder case. At this point, Jonathan's daughter appears; she also seeks the truth behind her father's death and joins Revel in his investigation. After a series of tense and gripping experiences, Revel uncovers a shocking secret: Jonathan did not die by suicide, but was murdered by his daughter. When Jonathan's daughter realizes Revel has figured this out, she attempts to kill him but is instead killed by Revel. Revel ends up in prison, where he encounters the officer investigating his wife’s case again. Everything seems to be part of a well-crafted trap, and Revel falls into it.
