Under the dim neon lights, two mysterious women reside in a cold, damp city: Clara (played by Gemma Arterton) and Eleanor (played by Saoirse Ronan). They call each other sisters, holding onto their small corner of the city, unwilling to draw attention from others. For their kind, this might be the best way. However, driven by fate, "peace" is destined to elude them, and the two find themselves in another city. While searching for a way to make a living, Clara accidentally meets Noel (played by Daniel Mays), a middle-aged man who has just lost his mother. Their similar situations create a bond between them, leading Noel to offer shelter to the two beautiful women.
