19 years ago, the close-knit Nanba brothers witnessed a UFO under a clear night sky, an event that would directly impact their futures. In 2025, the younger brother, Nitta (played by Masaki Okada), will embark on a legendary journey as the first Japanese astronaut to land on the moon, alongside his partners from NASA. Meanwhile, his older brother, Rokuta (played by Shun Oguri), struggles as a concept car designer but gets fired for headbutting his boss. Just as Rokuta is at a low point in his life, he receives a pass notification for the first round of testing from JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency). It turns out that Nitta has never forgotten the promise made to his brother—they would reach the moon together. Encouraged by his brother, Rokuta reignites his passion for space and begins a training camp with like-minded individuals. On the other hand, Nitta and his teammates land on the moon, taking a crucial step, but an accident occurs… The film is based on the manga of the same name by Chuya Koike, featuring cameos from Japanese astronaut Soichi Noguchi, who has traveled to space three times, and American astronaut Buzz Aldrin, the second person to set foot on the moon.
