This film is a co-production of IMAX and Warner Bros. and received assistance from NASA. IMAX 3D cameras returned to space to document NASA's most complex space shuttle operations. On May 11, 2009, these IMAX 3D cameras were launched aboard the Space Shuttle Atlantis. The astronauts used them to film the five spacewalks required to repair and upgrade the Hubble Telescope. "Hubble 3D" is led by producer and director Toni Myers and the team behind "International Space Station," featuring cinematographer James Neihouse, who also guided all astronauts. Judy Carroll serves as co-producer, and Greg M. Ferguson, one of the founders of IMAX, provided production consultation for many IMAX space films.
