In this story, young Ryan (Jesse James) is extremely afraid of dark places, while his brother Dale (Kevin Zegers) does not care, thinking that Ryan is just seeking attention. However, one night, when their parents go to a party and won't return until late, Dale promises to take care of his brother Ryan at home. Then, a storm suddenly hits, causing a power outage. Ryan begins to feel the terror of the night and the presence of demons, leading to a series of horrifying events. Dale finally understands Ryan's fear and realizes that his earlier indifference was a mistake. Unfortunately, this realization comes too late, as the horrific events have already occurred.
