Bill Martin and his newlywed wife Claire begin their new life together with a slight sense of unease, bringing along children from their previous marriages. They hope that moving into a new home will create a sense of family. When Bill sees a charming Victorian dollhouse in the back storage, he thinks it would be the perfect birthday gift for his daughter Jessica, but he feels a slight fear.
