Twenty years ago, a woman named Tracy (played by Kt Fanelli) was possessed by a demon. The local church organized an exorcism, which resulted in failure, leading to the deaths of two priests involved in the ritual. The only survivor was Tracy's son, who was the cameraman at the time. Fast forward twenty years, Brandon (Chris Minor) and his classmate Clay (Jake Brinn) selected this failed exorcism case as their project. They found the exorcism videotape from that year and went to Tracy's old home, deciding to restart the séance and livestream it. In the end, the séance failed, but Brandon and Clay's actions attracted the attention of a local cult. Then, Brandon was shocked to discover that Tracy was actually his mother, and soon he became the target of the malevolent spirit.
