This film is adapted from the renowned Russian author Leo Tolstoy's work "War and Peace." It follows the emotional stories of noblewoman Natasha (played by Clémence Poésy), nobleman Pierre (played by Alexander Beyer), and Prince Andrei (played by Alessio Boni), centered around the 1812 Patriotic War, depicting significant events in Russian society and various aspects of life between 1805 and 1820. As Russian society undergoes the transformative era of war and peace, the three protagonists find meaning in life amidst the turmoil of war. This new version of "War and Peace," funded by Russia, Italy, the UK, France, Poland, and Spain with a budget of 26 million euros, took two years to film across Poland, Lithuania, Australia, and Russia.
