Tom Hardy's new drama "Taboo" began filming this week in London, produced by BBC One and FX, with Michael Kelly and Jonathan Pryce joining the cast. This series marks Hardy's continued collaboration with Steven Knight following "Peaky Blinders" and "Locke." Hardy will play James Keziah Delaney, who in 1814 discovers a mysterious inheritance left by his father after spending ten years in Africa; later, he is drawn into a war by those who misunderstand him, finding himself in a confrontation with the East India Company, all while playing a dangerous game between the two warring nations of England and America. Kelly will portray an American doctor; Pryce will play Sir Stuart Strange, the commissioner of the East India Company and Delaney's main rival; Oona Chaplin plays Zilpha Geary, Delaney's half-sister; David Hayman portrays the loyal servant Brace. Other cast members include Jessie Buckley, Ashley Walters, Jefferson Hall, Ed Hogg, Leo Bill, Christopher Fairbank, Richard Dixon, Jason Watkins, and Nicholas Woodeson. According to previous reports, Kristoffer Nyholm will direct, Mark Patten will be the director of photography, Sonja Klaus will be the production designer, Joanna Eatwell will handle costume design, and Nina Gold will be the casting director.
