In the 1930s, stage actor Tyler Walker suffered a mental breakdown after his lover Myrna left him to marry someone else. He spent his days in his mansion with a fashion model dressed like Myrna, eventually committing suicide by hanging one night. Many years later, the Cates family, struggling with bankruptcy, suddenly hears that they have inherited Tyler's old house.
