The court is trying a case of homicide resulting from a prank. The evidence presented by the prosecution reconstructs the events: Ethan and Sean conducted a social experiment and recorded it on video. They used their eccentric neighbor, Grampy, as the subject of their experiment. However, their experiment resembled more of a cruel prank on the widower. To Ethan and Sean's surprise, the series of pranks they set up at Grampy’s home did not cause him to feel panic. Grampy’s calmness and his mysterious basement sparked Ethan's strong curiosity. Despite Sean's repeated warnings, curious Ethan sneaked into Grampy's house to investigate, only to accidentally witness Grampy's suicide. It turns out, the elaborate pranks Ethan and Sean devised coincidentally mirrored scenes from Grampy’s life with his beloved deceased wife, which evoked his memories of her, ultimately leading him to follow her in death. The court ultimately convicted Ethan and Sean for indirectly causing Grampy's death.
