Innocent nurse Lisa spends her days caring for an elderly woman with limited mobility and chatting about her fantasies of 70s Japanese idol singers. On her 30th birthday, she decides to turn her romantic thoughts into action and go out in search of true love. However, during her brief outing, the elderly woman unexpectedly dies. The usually indifferent family members suspect Lisa of foul play and call the police, but no criminal activity can be found. Nevertheless, everyone Lisa gets close to thereafter mysteriously dies, leading her, a lover of Japanese culture, to wonder if she is the legendary "Fox Fairy" who brings misfortune, believing that only selfless true love can break her tragic fate. The question is, whose destiny is strong enough to lift the curse from her? The plot cleverly combines Japanese elements and Eastern European culture, creating an original and entertaining story. The stunning visual style and lively narrative perspective recall "Emily's Wonder World." Monica Balsai, who plays Lisa, delivers a commendable performance; although the male lead is taciturn, he can surpass "the strongest on the surface," Liam Neeson, when necessary. This mysterious yet romantic black fantasy comedy is Károly Ujj Mészáros's debut feature film.
