Liberty (Hugh Jackman) is a down-and-out noble duke in the 19th century. At a matchmaking dinner arranged by his family, he inadvertently stumbles into a time tunnel while chasing after a stranger, the mad scientist Stuart, and finds himself in the 21st century over 100 years later. Stuart's unexpected hospitalization makes it difficult for the duke to navigate this unfamiliar environment.
