Xiaobao (played by Yang Liangyu) is sent to the countryside to temporarily live with his grandfather while his parents negotiate their divorce. Transitioning from a bustling metropolis to a quiet village, Xiaobao feels very out of place and becomes gloomy. He transfers to a local school with only twenty-seven students, where he meets a girl nicknamed "Big Bear." Although Big Bear is the same age as Xiaobao, she lives a vastly different and difficult life, which makes Xiaobao reflect deeply.
Big Bear becomes friends with a boy named Mingquan, who secretly has feelings for her. Under Mingquan's guidance, Xiaobao experiences the freedom of the countryside and learns to appreciate life in a new way. Meanwhile, the liberation of his spirit prompts Xiaobao to contemplate the importance of life, friendship, and family.
