In a circus stationed in London, there lives a hunchbacked young man (Daniel Radcliffe). His unattractive appearance is a source of amusement for others, but he has a passion for medicine, particularly anatomy. In an accident during a performance, he uses his knowledge to save the injured actress Lorelei (Jessica Brown Findlay), who is on the brink of death from fractures. His expertise impresses the mad scientist Victor Frankenstein (James McAvoy), who finds a way to abduct him and names him Igor. Before this, Frankenstein had committed the act of stealing the corpses of dead animals from a zoo, and all these actions are part of his audacious and insane experiment to create artificial life through stitching and patching.
