Enoch (Henry Hopper) is a somewhat odd young man who seems disinterested in life but enjoys wandering at strangers' funerals. During one such funeral, he unexpectedly encounters a unique girl, Annabel (Mia Wasikowska), and they gradually become close friends. Enoch introduces Annabel to his ghost friend, Hiroshi (Ryuhei Matsuda), while Annabel shares her obsession with the works of Dali literature. However, just as their relationship deepens and the joys of life begin to return, Annabel reveals a fact to Enoch – she is a cancer patient with little time left. Faced with the bittersweet moments of youth and the unchangeable darkness of death, how will this unusual romance confront the passage of time…
