Born into a military family, Alexandra Everett was destined to become a soldier. She enlisted with excellent grades and was promoted to positions such as a drill instructor and security officer. She faked a marriage to hide her true sexual orientation, but just as she was about to honorably complete her service, she found herself embroiled in a military investigation due to intimate photos with a female soldier being submitted to her superiors. Her commanding officer tried to help her but was forced to let her leave the service early due to the military's strict policies on homosexuality. Returning to her hometown, she discovered it had transformed into a town rampant with drug trafficking, and her old friends initially felt out of place. With the help of a police officer, her grandmother entrusted her rebellious granddaughter Saffron to Alexandra, hoping she could help Saffron reform, break free from the shadow of a traffic accident, and enlist to avoid the consequences of being incarcerated by the police station. While helping Saffron meet the requirements to enlist, Alexandra frequently engaged with her former girlfriend, while Saffron's drug-dealer boyfriend sought revenge and began posting the incriminating photos around town. This forced Alex to consider leaving the town, but since Saffron was also involved in the scandal and was denied enlistment, Saffron fell into despair and returned to her drug-dealer boyfriend. Alex stormed into the drug den to rescue Saffron but was knocked unconscious and bound. Saffron tried to help Alex, but in the scuffle, the drug-dealer boyfriend accidentally shot Saffron in the abdomen... She was rushed to the hospital and saved. On television, Obama finally announced the bill allowing homosexuals to serve in the military, Saffron officially enlisted, and Alexandra transitioned to becoming a police officer in the town. ======================================================== Based on a true story, it won three awards at the 2010 Outfest Film Festival: Best Narrative Feature Jury Award, Audience Award, and Best Actress.
