In a bustling corner of Tokyo lies a patisserie called Coin de Rue. From the head chef to the staff, everyone works diligently to create delicious desserts for the visiting diners. One day, a simple and straightforward girl named Natsume Usaka (played by Yu Aoi) travels from distant Kagoshima to Tokyo in search of her boyfriend, a aspiring renowned pastry chef named Chihiro Umi (played by Hiroyuki Onoue). However, Umi is not at the patisserie as mentioned in her letter, and a disappointed Natsume requests to stay and help out in the shop, but her poor cake-making skills are met with harsh criticism from her colleagues. Nonetheless, Natsume remains undeterred and begins her journey of apprenticeship in Tokyo with persistent determination. During this time, Natsume and her diverse colleagues go from arguing to understanding one another, and she encounters the legendary pastry chef Ryotaro Tomura (played by Yosuke Eguchi).
